Since 2006, the Mûsîqât festival has been taking place in Sidi Bou Saïd. It is  a festival of traditional music or of music drawing source from the country's or nearby countries' traditions.

This festival take place in september and october, at the Ennejma Ezzahra palace in Sidi Bou Said.

Sana Moussa (Palestine) - September 27th, 2014

Luis de la Carrasca (Spain) - September 29th, 2014

Abou Diarra (Mali) - September 30th, 2014

Raghunath Manet (India) - October 1st, 2014

Mounir Troudi (Tunisia) - October 2nd, 2014

In 2013, the program offered to hear or to discover:

- The Malian artist, Vieux Farka Touré, specialist of a blues mixing tradition and modernity,

-The Spanish group, Xarnege, playing a music inspired by the Basque and Gascon traditions,

- The Argentine group, Rudi Flores, performing South American tunes,

- The Romanian band, Ciocan, sharing Central European tunes,

-The Venezuélo-Colombian group, Recoveco, revealing tunes rooted in the tradition of both countries,

- The Iranian group, Tarab, and the specialist of the Tunisian malouf, the Syrian Sheik Ali Al-Halabi, closing the festival.
